INDOOR
PRODUCTS

" aria-labelledby="flush-headingOne1" data-bs-parent="#accordionFlushExample">

Warranties:

Warranty must be read in conjunction with Maintenance Intervals for Internal Products.

  • Roller blind fabric – 5 year warranty
  • Chains and chain drives – 3 year warranty
  • All aluminium extrusions and powder coated components – 5 year warranty
  • Roller Blinds exceeding 2m in width may be subjected to slight fabric ripples commonly known as V’ing. The V’ing is typically noticed as a slight ‘V’ in the fabric starting from a point near the mounting brackets and extending towards the bottom bar. The occurrence of the V’ing is created by deflection of the top tube when spanning distances greater than 2m. This V’ing will be more noticeable when looking across fabrics rather than straight on. Increasing the top tube size diameter can help but, in many cases, will not eliminate the V’ing. Since all roller blinds are affected by this trait, it is viewed as acceptable to have some degree of V’ing and therefore is not a warrantable issue.
  • Blind fabrics are cut square. Therefore gaps on the sides caused by out-of-square  window reveals are not a warranty claim.
  • Oversized blinds may require a horizontal join in the fabric.
  • The edges of roller blinds may fray if they begin to roll crooked.  If blinds are rolling crooked, carefully straighten blind up from the bottom rail to prevent further damage.

Repair or remakes of defective/damaged products are the sole remedy under this warranty. All efforts will be made to repair products with the same or similar products/components.

Moisture is a natural enemy of timber plantation shutters; timber exposed to moisture will expand. This expansion leads to cracking paint. Even once shutters are dried, the visible damage from moisture exposure will still be visible. Should shutters ever become wet, they need to be thoroughly dried immediately. Moisture from condensation can also be damaging. Ensure there is sufficient ventilation around frames and panels for rooms with high humidity or poor ventilation.

Any damage from water and/or moisture damage is not covered under warranty. It is unreasonable to expect a Country Blinds Pty Ltd employee or representative to be aware of a room that has high humidity or poor ventilation, therefore this remains the responsibility of the customer to ensure the room is fit for timber shutters. In cases where high humidity or poor ventilation is present, PVC shutters should be considered.

Removal of installed shutters can often cause damage to the surfaces into which they are installed. Country Blinds Pty Ltd staff will make all reasonable efforts to protect surfaces from damage. In no event shall Country Blinds be responsible for cost associated with the removal and/or damage to the surfaces into which the shutters are installed.

Country Blinds Pty Ltd is not able to guarantee exact matches to samples, nor are they able to guarantee exact matches on subsequent orders, repaired or replacement parts. Returns cannot be authorised due to these normal variations.

It is expected that shutters may settle over time, after this time it is expected that the opening side of the shutter may contact the sill frame with the nylon bumper depending on clearance inside the frame. This is normal and no repair or replacement will be authorised due to shutters settling overtime.

Blades should only be rotated with care, by hand. Never rotate blades by gripping the top or bottom blade in a stack of blades, doing this will put excess pressure on the rotation link screw and can lead to damaging the blade. It is advised to rotate blades using a blade in the middle of a stack and in instances for more than 10 blades, two hand operation is advised. No warranty applies to blades damaged due to misuse.

Warranties:

Warranty must be read in conjunction with Maintenance Intervals for Internal Products.

  • Structural – 15 year warranty (covers surrounding frame, panel frame joinery and blades)
  • Blade pivots, pins and moving parts  – 2 year warranty

*blades damaged due to misuse are not covered under the structural warranty

  • Hardware including hinges, tracks, rollers and magnets – 3 year warranty
  • Colour fastness – 3 year warranty

*like all stained and clear lacquered natural timber finishes, they will fade over time and are not covered by colour-fastness, solid colours are recommended if fading is not a desired outcome.

*Plantation Shutters are a natural product and due to the nature of timber it can have some natural imperfections. Any imperfections noticed beyond 1.5m with the human eye may be rectified, the rest are part of the beauty of working with real timber.*

Since Haven® and Ziptrak® Awnings are typically installed outside, general cleaning and maintenance is required.

Warranties:

Warranty must be read in conjunction with Environmental Risk Profile Definitions and Maintenance Intervals

  • Side retention awnings are designed to look best in either the raised or fully lowered positions
  • Haven® and Ziptrak® awnings can be left at other heights (i.e. ½ or ¾ down) without issue. However, it is important to note:
    • – Due to the differential between the thickness of the side spline and the thickness of the fabric (when being rolled up around the top roller) the blind will look baggy/loose in intermediate positions
    • – This baggy/loose appearance will be more evident in larger blinds
    • – The longer a side retention awning is left in an intermediate position, the longer it will take to flatten out when pulled closed – warm weather will help the fabric flatten faster

*Since the aforementioned occurrence is standard for all Haven® and Ziptrak® Awnings, warranty claims cannot be authorised for baggy/loose fabric.
